Analytica Cloud Platform (ACP) 3.0 now in beta

Analytica Cloud Platform (ACP) was released in beta in January. Like previous versions of ACP it makes it easy to run Analytica models on the web. You can email a weblink to anyone who can run your models via a web browser without downloading Analytica. You can publish models instantly from desktop Analytica — even from Free 101 — by selecting Publish to Cloud from the File menu. Or you can get an ACP Group plan to let your entire team share, review and run models. ACP3 is a complete rewrite using modern technologies, including html5, react, and websockets, making it much snappier to interact with. We’ve been getting great feedback on the beta release. We’d love to get your comments too before the final release!

What do you think of the resources for learning and mastering Analytica?

We are looking to improve the resources we offer to the Analytica community to help learn and use Analytica effectively. If you have 3 minutes to complete a survey, we would much appreciate your feedback and suggestions.  Thank you in advance for helping improve Analytica user support!

The Value of Knowing How Little You Know: Join the Analytica Experts Webinar on April 22nd!

What time should you leave to catch a plane flight? We all know intuitively to leave extra time for traffic and other uncertainties. But, how much time? And what’s the value of considering uncertainty?  Please join us on April 22th at 11am PT (2pm ET) where Max Henrion will introduce the Expected Value of Including Uncertainty (EVIU), compare with the Expected Value of Perfect Information (EVPI), and the insights it gives into a variety of decision problems — including catching a plane. He’ll share the Analytica model.

Tips and Tricks: Reorder a list index

It’s easy to reorder the items in an index defined as a list of text values. Show the list in the Attribute Panel or Object Window, in edit mode.  Select the item(s) you want to move and just drag them up or down the list. As you drag, the cursor changes as shown.

When you reorder an index, it automatically moves the data along with each item in any Edit table that uses that index to retain the association between labels and data. We call this Table Splicing. It also reorders any graph color sequence linked to the index to keep the association between colors and labels.
