Analytica supports DIST standard March 18, 2010	Analytica 4.2.3 has been certified by Probability Management.or as supporting its new DIST standard for representing probability samples (also known as SIPS or Stochastic Information Packets) in a compact characters-based XML format. In fact, Lonnie Chrisman, Lumina's CTO, helped improve the standard resulting in DIST 1.1 and DIST 2.0 -- the latter is not yet released,. but already supported as an option in Analytica. More.

Lumina Releases Analytica 4.2	We're delighted to announce the release of Analytica 4.2. This release adds a variety of new and improved features, including Analtica 64-bit in addition to an improved selection of licensing options. Other improvements in release 4.2 include many new functions, new probability distributions, new libraries, including one for correlated and multivariate distributions, extended syntax for smarter function calling, and a new integrated User Guide. Lumina Releases Analytica Web Player (AWP)

We are pleased to announce the release of Analytica Web Player! AWP lets you view and run Analytica models via any standard Flash-enabled web browser. It has almost the same user interface as Analytica Player on the desktop, showing model diagrams, objects, tables, and graphs. Users can change inputs, including edit tables, and save their changes. AWP has several key advantages over desktop Analytica as a way to distribute models for reviewers or end users.

Analytica 4.1.2 patch release September, 2008	Analytica and ADE release 4.1.2 is now available as a free download for all those with current support. This patch release fixes a number of bugs and is easy to install. You do not need a new license code if you already have 4.1. Visit the wiki at What's fixed in release 4.1 for details, or simply download and run the installer from here.
Analytica 4.1.1 patch release August, 2008	Analytica and ADE release 4.1.1 available. This patch release fixes a number of bugs and offers some minor improvements, including an average 10% faster runtime. We strongly recommend this easy upgrade for those with 4.1.0. As of Sept 12, 2008, please install patch release 4.1.2, which includes the fixes in 4.1.1.

Lumina at WIREC 2008 March 3-7, 2008	Lumina attended WIREC 2008 earlier this year. WIREC is the Washington International Renewable Energy Conference which was held at the Washington DC Convention Center.
Kuopio Open Risk Assessment Workshop Feb 18-22, 2008	Kuopio risk assessment workshop 2008 is the second workshop about new methods in risk assessment, organized by the National Public Health Institute (KTL), Kuopio, Finland. Its main purpose is to promote the idea and practice of Open Risk Assessment, and further develop methods to perform them. The workshop is mainly directed to postgraduate students working in the fields of environmental health or risk assessment, but it is also open to anyone interested. The workshop will consist of lectures on Open Risk Assessment theory and methods as well as applying the methods to describe and evaluate a real-life risk assessment case. Analytica will be used. Analytica Training in Europe Jan 14-15, 2008	Simbon, Lumina's affiliate in the Netherlands, is offering a two-day Analytica training in Eindhoven on January 14-15th, 2008. They are also offering additional half day of one-on-one tutoring two weeks later to help trainees with their own modeling projects. Saving energy and cost in datacenters Dec 5 2007	The cost of energy for power and cooling at many datacenters and server farms now exceeds the cost of the servers themselves. There are many new products and services designed to reduce datacenter energy use. Analytica helps inventory greenhouse gases from Canadian cattle February 15, 2007	It turns out that methane from cows, pigs, and sheep contributes more to greenhouse effects than cars, trains, and planes. Canada fulfills its Kyoto Protocol duty to estimate greenhouse gas emissions from livestock using an Analytica model to assess the uncertainties. More..
