Senior Energy Consultant

Lumina Decision Systems is seeking an experienced energy modeler to take a leadership role in building our energy practice. Lumina is a small, growing software and consulting company, creator of Analytica modeling software, based in Campbell, California, in Silicon Valley. Lumina provides consulting and advanced analytic software to help organizations make challenging decisions in energy, environment, transport, finance, and healthcare. Lumina’s clients range from clean-tech start-ups to Fortune 50 companies, utilities, the NREL, Department of Energy, and the World Bank. You must have:

  • A graduate degree in science, engineering, operations research, or other quantitative discipline
  • Experience building substantial computer models of energy, environmental, or economic systems

Software Developer

Lumina is seeking an outstanding software developer. Lumina is a small growing software company, located in the south corner of Silicon Valley.  This is a great opportunity for someone who has already demonstrated excellence and flexibility as a developer, but always wants to improve their skills and broaden their experience while working on important and exciting products. You will be closely mentored by a truly outstanding software engineer, who is also an easy person to work with.  You will join as a core member of a small team on development of existing and new products. 

We are looking for someone who is versatile, a fast learner, and a natural problem solver. You must have

  • Excellent skills and at least 3 years of experience in software development
  • Solid C++ development skills in Windows
  • Some experience with at least 2 other programming languages
  • Good communication skills
  • Bachelor’s or Masters Degree in Computer Science or related field

Customer Success Manager

Lumina is the market leader in model-driven decision-making solutions[L1] , offering the industry’s most comprehensive platform for analytics without programming. Seeking an experienced sales administrator and demand generation specialist to join our dedicated, passionate team of professionals.

Responsibilities:

  • Sustaining our current customer base through maintenance and subscription renewals and prioritizing responses to their ongoing needs
  • Quoting, order processing, generating license keys, and invoicing as well as all record keeping pertaining to sales and licensing of our Analytica products, services and integrated solutions
  • Generating new qualified leads by conducting research to identify decision makers, sales deal catalysts, and influencers within targeted accounts
  • Researching named target accounts in industry, market, business strategy and/or technology trends aligning with Lumina marketing initiatives
  • Creating and delivering compelling content and consistent following through on sales & demand generation campaigns
  • Working closely with the sales and marketing team to understand and improve execution of campaigns. Collaborating in the planning and execution of company marketing and sales initiatives – providing input from market engagement with prospective customers
  • Supporting marketing and sales efforts with industry events, exhibits, or other sales-based events when necessary
  • Planning and scheduling sales and marketing engagements with Lumina management including customer site visits, industry events, and peformance updates.

  • Applicants with significant SalesForce.com experience will be prioritized
  • People skills: Strong sense of responsibility and integrity, the ability to listen, maintain a positive attitude, work with and serve others
  • Prompt, personal time management to respond to a variety of daily demands
